The 4-poster suite we stayed in was absolutely GORGEOUS - such a comfortable bed, beautiful view of the gardens, huge bathroom - really charming look and feel - very opulant and felt like a real treat! The breakfast was super good! Continually being topped up / refreshed and great variety of both hot and cold food and pastries. Sarah on reception, was lovely! Super helpful after there was some minor booking confusion.

Beautiful grounds. Hotel is an impressive building. Spa was nice. Breakfast good. Staff were lovely. Mohammed at reception very professional and cheerful. Been there for 4 months and doing a great job. Roger at the bar was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

The whole property was really beautiful and had that genuine English atmosphere, which we absolutely loved. The buildings and the landscape were pleasant to the eye. We enjoyed a long walks with our dog, which we were happy that he could accompany us in our family leisure weekend. The suite we stayed in was very comfortable, because our teenage daughter had her own bedroom.

The place gives you a pleasant feeling as if visiting place from a bygone era. It is almost a Grand Budapest Hotel type place. Perhaps a little dated in places (those carpets in the rooms are perhaps not what they used to be like). The staff are all super friendly and the breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cooked breakfast items available. Good tea selection. If you get the chance, do have a walk around the grounds. There were deer freely walking around at times and it felt really idyllic especially around the lake.

Beautiful building and grounds. Just a few minutes drive from town centre Spa facilities was lovely to use Restaurant staff were lovely especially the restaurant Manager Stefan who was very attentive

The hotel has lots of space and although it was busy, there was no feeling of overcrowding

Lovely faded grandure of a grand house on a budget. I love that the house has seen better days so it’s more like staying at a friends country house which makes it very relaxing as it’s not stuffy. Stayed there many years ago when it was under different ownership and it was rather stuffy, prefer it now. We stayed in one of the largest rooms which was very comfortable and had the most beautiful views from the enormous windows. Amazing value and will definitely return.

Well maintained and welcoming period property. Gorgeous room, clean and spacious bathroom. Lovely grounds, fantastic breakfast and an even better espresso martini! Spa had a nice selection of rooms/treatments, and also clean and well looked after. Quick journey into Stratford-upon-Avon, which is a nice town to potter around and have dinner.

Beautiful old building in lovely surroundings with no obvious modern block to detract from the architecture. The modern spa was tastefully done and was absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful pool with a fabulous outdoor jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Our apartments were a lovely surprise. Two of my friends were in Oberon which was huge. They had a bedroom and bathroom each!

Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean.. The breakfast was amazing, and the excellent choice was very tasty and filling. Lovely surroundings and easy to get where you want to explore. The roadworks do create a bit of a detour, but nothing terrible. Spa lovely, didn't have any treatments but used the other facilities which were great and the staff were friendly enough.
